Kerrang Contents Page

The contents page will be in two main sections; features and regulars. Features are items that only appear in one particular issue and regulars are the items that appear in every issue.


This magazine contents page is a bit harder than the Q magazine to find the features and the regulars.
The regulars and the features in Q magazines were on two separate pages and under the headings 'Features' and 'Regulars.
I feel that this magazine could be a lot clearer on splitting the sections up. In the contents column they could have had all the regulars first and then the features underneath, or maybe had two separate boxes for each one.

Features 

• 'We are in the crowd'
• 'The Wonder Years'
• 'A day to remember'

These items are one offs that will not feature in every issue.

Conventions Analysis
This Contents page features:

• The page title at the top with the date and issue
• It has a 'features' section and a 'regulars' section
• Images form various different articles
• It does have a continuous color scheme; blue, pink, yellow, black and white
• Page numbers giving reference to the location of the article.
• Large, bold clear font
• External advertisements from other institutions
