Kerrang Front Cover

This is the front cover for rock magazine Kerrang

This magazine feels very 'rocky'. The colours are not bright and they are not the colours that you would find on a girly pop magazine. It has edgy and jagged font styles that stand out. Especially the mast head it looks as though it has been smashed, probably by a guitar a common iconography of rock.

I feel as though this front cover appeals more  to males than females because it has a band member from Green Day. I also believe that the editors have gone for more of a male look because the audience members of this magazine are predominantly male.
